Nail Care

For some woman there is nothing quite like the relaxation of a professional manicure.
For many of us however there is not enough time in the day to have the pleasure of a manicure.
Fortunately with a few tips you can give yourself a manicure and will have your fingernails looking good in no time at all.
The first thing you need to do is get all your finger nails even.
You can do this with a fine grained fingernail file by filing from the sides of each finger nail in towards the center.
Never use a metal fingernail file, and never file from one side of the nail to the other.
When you file from one side of the fingernail to the other this encourages the nail to separate.
Once the nail begins to separate, it will also begin to peel leaving an unsightly mess.
Now you can concentrate on the cuticles.
It is best to use cuticle oil for this process as it makes the job a lot easier.
Dab a small amount of cuticle oil on the fingertip and rub it in lightly.
This will help to recondition your cuticles easily.
Cuticle oil is excellent for keeping your cuticles soft and pliable.
If you have nail polish on your finger nails that you need to remove you should be using acetone free nail polish remover as it won't dry out your fingernails.
When applying polish ensure that you are doing it in a well ventilated area as the chemical fumes that are given off from the polish can make some people feel quite sick.
When applying polish to the finger nails of the hand that you use for writing you will need to steady the other hand very well to ensure that you make a good job.
Take your time as a steady hand will give you a lot more professional result.
Always start with the little finger and work towards the thumb.
Working in this manner will stop you from messing up the fingernails that you have already finished preparing.
